Developing a Custom AI Digital Twin for Scalable Service Industry Ads
The Business Challenge
Our client operates in a highly niche sector of the professional cleaning industry, handling extreme scenarios such as severe hoarding clearance, biohazard removal, and mould remediation. Effectively marketing these delicate, often visually challenging services requires a highly specific and empathetic approach.
The initial brief was to produce a campaign consisting of seven short-form video adverts (5–6 seconds each). Originally, the client envisioned a hybrid approach combining traditional stock footage with AI elements. However, during our strategic pre-production phase, we strongly advised pivoting to a 100% generative AI pipeline.
Why? Because staging live-action shoots in biohazard or severe hoarding environments is a logistical and financial nightmare. Furthermore, the client had one non-negotiable requirement: The brand had to be represented by its founder, Henry. They didn't want faceless, generic corporate commercials; they needed a highly personalised campaign built around Henry’s face and voice to build instant local trust.
The Solution: Engineering a Digital Twin
We utilised our comprehensive AI video production services to create a bespoke "Digital Twin" of the founder. This allowed us to place him in hazardous environments virtually, safely, and cost-effectively.
Phase 1: Visual Blueprint & 5-Second Hooks
We identified the seven core services the client needed to promote. Since the adverts were extremely short, the narrative structure had to be instantly readable. We engineered a rapid three-beat visual hook for every video:
- The Pain Point: Establishing the hazardous or messy environment.
- The Authority: The entrance of Henry (our custom AI spokesperson).
- The Resolution: A clean, safely remediated space.
Before generating any video frames, we compiled extensive moodboards using web and stock references. Establishing strict visual boundaries is critical; without a tight creative framework, generative AI will produce wildly inconsistent aesthetics.
Phase 2: Solving the "Consistent Character" Hurdle
The internet is currently flooded with amateur AI videos where a character's facial structure morphs and degrades from shot to shot. As a professional agency, our absolute priority was delivering 100% character consistency. Henry had to look undeniably like Henry in every single frame.
We trained advanced image-generation models using dozens of reference photographs of the founder, allowing the system to replicate his likeness across various lighting scenarios.
The true technical challenge emerged during wide shots. While current AI models excel at rendering faces in extreme close-ups, the likeness tends to distort when a character steps back or moves dynamically through a physical space. Reconciling these full-body shots required rigorous manual refinement, multiple iterations, and expert prompting to maintain the integrity of the Digital Twin.
Phase 3: Voice Cloning & Audio Synchronisation
To complete the Digital Twin, we utilised ElevenLabs to clone the founder’s voice. The platform provided the granular control we needed to adjust emotional delivery and intonation, ensuring the synthetic voiceover sounded empathetic and professional. Final sound design and music sourcing (via Artlist) gave the short clips a premium, cinematic feel.
The Client Experience: Demystifying AI Workflows
A crucial takeaway from this project was the importance of agency-client synergy in the AI era.
Initially, feedback was managed asynchronously via email, which caused bottlenecks. We quickly realised that generative AI workflows are counter-intuitive to clients used to traditional post-production. We had to educate the client on why you cannot simply "tweak" a minor detail in an AI video (it often requires a complete scene regeneration) and why achieving a flawless 2-second clip might require dozens of prompt iterations.
Once we shifted to live video calls and shared our screens, the process became fully transparent and incredibly fast. Henry was an exceptionally collaborative partner who quickly grasped the technical boundaries and capabilities of the medium.
Outcomes & Impact
This campaign successfully proved that AI video is no longer a gimmick—it is a robust, highly scalable production engine. By overcoming the hurdles of character and stylistic consistency, we delivered a cinematic, deeply personalised marketing campaign that elevated standard home services advertising to a premium level.
